Pakistan Floods Appeal
The heavy rainfall over the past few days in Pakistan has caused devastating flash floods that have left hundreds of people dead or missing. The Office for Disaster Management said they’re monitoring reports about more than 500 individuals injured by this chaotic situation and 77 children lost their lives during these natural disasters
The floodwater is spreading disease and illness, putting vulnerable people at even more risk, as thousands are stranded without shelter, food and clean water. The floods have made communities that were already vulnerable and impoverished, even more vulnerable. The devastation is widespread and on an alarming level.
Thousands of people across the country are in desperate need of shelter, food, clothing, medical aid and clean water. Many of those affected are in remote locations where access is difficult, leaving them feeling forgotten and cut off. The time to help is now, before the situation worsens.
